🎆 Happy New Year 2026!

As the clock strikes midnight and we step into a brand new year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect and look ahead.

The Year That Was

2025 was transformative for the Drupal ecosystem:

  • Drupal 11.1-11.3 brought OOP hooks with PHP attributes
  • The community continued pushing toward Experience Builder
  • Headless architectures became the norm, not the exception
  • Cache strategies got smarter, not harder

And personally? I finally put my thoughts into words, launched this blog, and connected with developers around the world.

What I’m Excited About in 2026

Experience Builder (XB)

The React-based editing experience is going to redefine what’s possible in Drupal. If you haven’t been following—now’s the time.

Single Directory Components

SDC is becoming the foundation for reusable, maintainable frontend code. 2026 is the year to master it.

The Headless Continue

Drupal as a content API powering React, Vue, Next.js, and beyond. The architecture patterns are maturing beautifully.

AI-Assisted Development

From code generation to content recommendations—AI tools are becoming genuine productivity multipliers.

A Note of Gratitude

To everyone who’s read these articles, connected on LinkedIn, or reached out with questions—thank you.

The developer community is special because we share openly. We teach what we learn. We lift each other up.

Here’s to more of that in 2026.

Cheers to the New Year!

Whether you’re debugging at midnight or finally taking that vacation—I hope 2026 brings you:

  • Clean builds
  • Passing tests
  • Zero merge conflicts
  • And maybe a little extra sleep

Happy New Year! 🎆

See you on the other side.
